Historical Museum reopens The Captain Bangs Hallet House Museum in Yarmouth Port is reopening for tours on June 17. The fully furnished 19th century Victorian home features silk, porcelain and marine artifacts from Yarmouth sea captains' Far East seafaring days. Docent-led tours will be offered through Oct. 10 on Thursday through Sunday at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Salt Works exhibit this summer was arranged by historian and Historical Society of Old Yarmouth president, Robert Kelley. During the first half of the 1800s, the salt works were an economic mainstay for the town of Yarmouth. Reservations are required to allow for state safety precautions. General admission is $5. HSOY members, youth under 18, active military personnel and Yarmouth residents are free but reservations are still required.
