Lion, badger, eagle? Take the quiz and find your patronus! Students will learn the basic handbuilding techniques — pinch, coil and slab — to sculpt and create an animal mask, (sgraffito) tile and secret container (2 in 1). To add to the kids’ fun, this class takes place aboard the Studio’s Clay Bus, a 40ft school bus converted into an art studio and parked beside the McGraw! The bus is air conditioned and masking and social distancing will be observed. All clay and tools will be provided but kids should "dress for mess"! Mon-Thu, Aug 2-5 9am-12pm Clay Bus $162/$138 members About the Instructor: Mary Shea is an art educator and artist, receiving her BS from Murray State University and her MAT from Bridgewater State University. From starting out as a graphic designer in television to working in film and video, Mary found her niche in the classroom. She has taught for over 25 years in various studio and classroom settings, teaching adults to kindergarteners in Mansfield Public Schools, Mt Ida College and Hunakai School of Fine Arts. If you don't find Mary in the studio, you can find her painting with her granddaughters, taking photos, biking or hiking with her husband, Mark, and her dog, Maui!
