NEW OFFERING! Dichroic glass is an wonderful material that can be used to create amazing and vibrant jewelry. Developed by NASA, dichroic glass reflects one color while transmitting a different color. Also, the colors shift depending on the angle of view. In this exciting weekend workshop with jewelry artist Rosanna Musselman, you will make several pieces of jewelry including dangle and stud earrings, pendants, and bracelets, as well as cabochons for your use later. You will learn how to cut glass, assemble pieces and fuse in a table-top kiln to create your own stunning jewelry. This class is designed for beginners, though all levels are welcome. There is a lab fee of $30, payable to the instructor, by Venmo, cash or check. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring a brown-bag lunch and your own safety glasses. Optional materials, if you have them: magnification headset, Dremel with diamond bit for drilling small holes, favorite beads to embellish jewelry, tweezers to position small glass pieces. If you want to work with your own glass, please make sure it is COE90, and the lab fee is reduced to $10.
