Voices of Poetry: An Online Reading with Mary Buchinger, Eileen Cleary, Jeannette de Beauvoir, and Richard Hoffman This event will be held over ZOOM. Free and open to all! To Register, email sturgisreference@comcast.net POET BIOS: Mary Buchinger is the author of six collections of poetry, including e i n f ü h l u n g/in feeling (Main Street Rag, 2018), and Aerialist (Gold Wake Press Collective, 2015) - finalist for the May Swenson Poetry Award, OSU Wheeler Prize, and the Perugia Press Prize. She has three books which will soon be published: Navigating the Reach, Virology, and / klaʊdz /. She is also the author of the non-fiction book, How to Listen to Chronic Pain Narratives (Brill, 2010) - which approaches that subject from the perspective of one who teaches communication skills to future health care professionals. Her work has been published in numerous journals, including About Place Journal, AGNI Online, Ars Poetica, The Cortland Review, and Rattle. Mary is President of the New England Poetry Club (founded in 1915 by Robert Frost, Amy Lowell, and Conrad Aiken), and professor of English and communication studies at MCPHS University in Boston. Eileen Cleary is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lily Poetry Review and Lily Poetry Review Books. She holds two MFA's in poetry. Her recent work has been published in Mom Egg Review, The Sugar House Review, The American Journal of Poetry, JAMA, West Texas Literary Review, and Solstice: A Magazine for Diverse Voices, among others. Eileen is also the co-editor (together with Christine Jones) of the anthology, Voices Amidst the Virus (Lily Poetry Review, 2020). Her debut poetry collection, Child Ward of the Commonwealth, was published by Main Street Rag Press in June 2019. Her second, 2 A.M. With Keats, is forthcoming from Nixes Mate Books.
