Sail Around Cape Cod on Hyannis Whale Watching Tours

Set sail to discover the ocean's giants on a whale watching tour of Cape Cod Bay and Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Touted by Mid-Cape by Cape Cod Life Magazine as the "2015 Best of the Cape & Islands Sightseeing", Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises takes passengers on an adventure to see 85 species of whales, dolphins and porpoises that feed off the New England coast each year. Catch glimpses of Humpback, Finback, and Minke whales, bottlenose dolphins, great white sharks, and marine birds from the deck of a jet-powered ocean vessel and relax with food and drinks in the climate-controlled cabin. FAQs

  • can whale sightings be guaranteed?

If you visit during high season (April-October), you can be confident that the whales, dolphins and ocean animals will be on display. However, if you don't see a whale, Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises will offer rain checks to all passengers (at captain's discretion). The company does not offer cash refunds but the rain check passes never expire and can be used anytime based upon availability; reservations required.
  • how long is the trip and what should I bring?

Whale watching trips generally last from 3.5 to 4 hours. Tour length depends upon the location of whales, and the captain may extend the tour to maximize your whale watching experience. Be sure to dress warmly in windproof layers, wear comfortable sneakers or walking shoes and sunglasses. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, water, a hat, and your camera. Motion sickness medication and/or sea bands are a good idea for rough sail days.
